I founded Kamal Law Firm, PLLC, to provide high-quality legal services in Harris, Fort Bend, and other surrounding counties. I was born in Pakistan and grew up in Chicago, but now Texas is my home. An earlier career in health care brought me to the law, and I had the privilege to work with distinguished judges early in my legal career. The guidance and training I received working for the South Texas Legal Clinic, the Honorable Judge Eva Guzman, now serving on the Texas Supreme Court, and the Honorable Judge Jeff Bohm of the Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas, prepared me for excellence in the courtroom and as a certified mediator.
​​​​I speak Urdu, Hindi, and Spanish, and I often work with the local Latin, Middle Eastern and South Asian communities. My wide-ranging cultural experiences help me bridge east and west in divorce and family matters, ensuring you have the best possible representation. This background also allows me to help clients worldwide with their unique immigration needs.

I serve as a board member on several organizations and regularly get appointed by Courts to serve as an amicus and ad litem attorney on divorce, child protective services and adoption cases.

I enjoy traveling, socializing, the arts, and spending time with my family. I also devote my free time volunteering for causes that help families in need.
